International students are looking for a student apartment
At the beginning of WS 23/24, students in Saarbrücken and Homburg are again looking for a student apartment. The Housing Office helps to provide housing from private providers* to students without housing.

One of our main functions is to provide catering services to students at our cafeterias and Mensa refectories on the Saarbrücken and Homburg campuses.
We attach great importance to ensuring that our guests are offered a varied and well-balanced range of foods.

The Studentenwerk operates two child day-care facilities on the Saarbrücken campus
- one for the children of students
- one for the children of Saarland University employees.
Both nurseries are located in Building D 4.1. In addition to group and communal rooms, children at both facilities have access to a spacious physical activities room and an exciting outdoor play area that is located directly next to the adjacent woodland.

Until recently, the Mental Health Counselling Service (PPB) was organized and run by Saarland University. The Studentenwerk assumed responsibility for these services on 1 January 2011. However, the services offered by the PPB and its team of counsellors at the Campus Centre in Saarbrücken remain unchanged. Students and employees at Saarland University can continue to make use of the services which are available free of charge.

Besides managing the student refectories and cafeterias, the Mental Health Counselling Service (PPB), the child day-care centres, the student halls of residence, and arranging and awarding financial support to individual students, the Studentenwerk also provides other important services.
