{"id":1408,"date":"2024-06-13T07:10:33","date_gmt":"2024-06-13T05:10:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stw-saarland.de\/?page_id=1408"},"modified":"2026-06-12T13:10:58","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T11:10:58","slug":"student-counselling","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.stw-saarland.de\/en\/counselling\/student-counselling\/","title":{"rendered":"Student advice"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:40px\">Counselling for Students<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"lightweight-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"lightweight-accordion-title\"><h2>Counselling Service<\/h2><\/summary><div class=\"lightweight-accordion-body\">\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Psychological Counselling Service (PPB) is open to all students of Saarland University, the University of Applied Sciences Saarland, the Academy of Fine Arts Saar, and the Academy of Music Saar for free and confidential use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We provide counselling for academic and\/or personal problems, for example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Exam and test anxiety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learning and concentration difficulties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Writing blocks, fear of public speaking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dissatisfaction with one&#8217;s personal life and\/or academic situation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Low or highly fluctuating self-esteem<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Depressive moods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lack of direction or motivation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoidance or procrastination of important tasks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relationship difficulties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anxiety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sexual and psychosomatic disorders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relationship and family conflicts, etc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An Open Counselling Hour is held once a week at each location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The counselling can take place in German or English.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"lightweight-accordion\"><details><summary class=\"lightweight-accordion-title\"><h2>Group programs<\/h2><\/summary><div class=\"lightweight-accordion-body\">\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, group programs are offered only in German.
