We are conducting a research study to collect imagined-speech EEG data to train a brain-computer interface (BCI) classifier. This system will allow a digital robot to navigate through a virtual maze using brain signals. During the study, we will record your brain activity (EEG), physiological responses, and collect demographic and personality data.
Before beginning the EEG recording sessions, you will be asked to attend an introductory session. In this session, we will:
Introduce you to the EEG device and study procedure
Ask you to complete an initial questionnaire
Conduct a mental rotation test
The study includes a total of 12 sessions:
8 sessions will take place during the first 4 weeks, with two sessions per week: one in the morning and one in the afternoon
After a 2-week break, you will return for the final 4 sessions, completed over the last 2 weeks
Each session will last approximately 2 to 3 hours.
To study different EEG recording techniques, half of the sessions will use a dry EEG cap, and the other half will use a gel-based EEG cap.
Participants who complete all sessions will receive a compensation of 400 euros, which will be provided after the final session.
