In the research group „Molecular Imaging“ of Prof. Dr. Marcel Lauterbach several positions are available for winter semester 2025/26 as
Student Assistant („HiWi“) Matlab
Your task: Supervision of exercises in the online course „Matlab and Data Analysis“. The course in English language is aimed at international scientific/medical PhD students, not only at the UdS, but also at the partner universities (University of the Greater Region, European University), and takes place via MS Teams. It is a Matlab programming course for beginners, which shows in partic- ular how Matlab can be used for data analysis. Embedded in the course are programming exer- cises, which are supervised in one-on-one sessions.
Working time: (online) attendance time in the compact course, which takes place on Tuesday, September 30; Wednesday, Oct. 1; Wednesday, Oct. 8; Thursday, Oct. 9, 2025,
2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, as well as preparation time, which is freely arrangeable. The work can be done from home.
It is anticipated that the course will continue in subsequent semesters, so there is potential for longer-term student assistant jobs.
Prerequisites:
- Programming skills in Matlab sufficient to supervise students in the exercises and to identify There are, of course, sample solutions, but there are usually several possible solu-tions. The class covers variables, arrays, functions, scripts, loops; no program more than one page.
- Good English skills
- Computer with MS Teams and stable internet access
- Enrolled at a German university
