Possible cover of the day care fee

Possible cover of the day care fee by the responsible Youth Welfare Office (“Jugendamt”):

If you as parents receive social benefits or only a low income (example: you both receive BAFöG or only one parent is employed with a low income), you can apply at the responsible Youth Welfare Office in your place of residence to have the day care fee and the (possibly partial) meal fee covered.

As the regulations regarding the amount of income are individual, only the responsible youth welfare office can give you further information regarding a possible claim.
